Apprenticeships Manager

Madeleine.Lund@ccskills.org.uk

Madeleine Lund is very excited to have joined the National Skills Academy for Creative and Cultural as Apprenticeships Manager in May 2010. She is working closely with the Head of Apprenticeships in setting up of the Apprenticeship Training Service (ATS) with the aim of achieving 1125 Apprenticeship opportunities over three years. This will be realised in partnership with Employers and our Founder Colleges by providing quality driven, industry endorsed qualifications that will improve opportunities for all and increase the diversity of our sector’s workforce.

Prior to this Madeleine worked for a long time as an Operations Manager with direct responsibility for large scale recruitment, training and personnel management and worked at many high profile exhibitions and events.

Madeleine trained as an actor and has performed in various theatre productions over many years, including performing at The West Yorkshire Playhouse, The Edinburgh Festival and with Women & Theatre. She is a founder member and artistic director of ReSister Theatre Company, which seeks to challenge the lack of diversity in theatre and promotes making theatre accessible for all. She was instrumental in setting up a drama workshop programme with the company working with teenagers and she is committed to working with young people.

Madeleine is currently studying part time for an MA in Dramatherapy at Roehampton University.
