Head of Apprenticeships

Paul.Marijetic@ccskills.org.uk

Paul Marijetic joined the National Skills Academy as Head of Apprenticeships in May 2010. Key to this role is the setting up of the Apprenticeship Training Service with the aim of achieving 1125 Apprenticeship opportunities over three years.  This will be realized in partnership with Employers and our Founder Colleges by providing quality-driven, industry-endorsed qualifications that will improve opportunities for all and increase the diversity of our sector’s workforce.

Prior to joining the National Skills Academy he provided development advice and consultancy to Colleges, Work Based Learning providers and Schools on the Qualification and Credit Framework and Foundation Learning. In his previous roles he had strategic responsibility for organisational and workforce development.  This was most recently within the public sector with a Local Authority and earlier in the legal advice, homelessness and housing sectors.  In addition to this he has worked on the development of National Occupational Standards in Advice & Guidance and Housing with the relevant NTO and Sector Skills Council; set up NVQ Assessment Centres developing training and assessment materials and taken three organisations through IiP.
